Welcome to Columbia  Middle School PTSA!

 

Columbia Middle School PTSA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. 

We are successfully led by, Troya Bishop, Ed.D.  Our growing council includes parents, teachers, students, administrators, and concerned community members.

CMS PTSA Values

  • Collaboration: We will work in partnership with a wide array of individuals and organizations to broaden and enhance our ability to serve and advocate for all children and families.

  • Commitment: We are dedicated to children’s educational success, health, and well-being through strong family and community engagement, while remaining accountable to the principles upon which our association was founded.

  • Diversity: We acknowledge the potential of everyone without regard, including but not limited to: age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, geographic location, legal status, marital status, mental ability, national origin, organizational position, parental status, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, and work experience.

  • Respect: We value the individual contributions of members, employees, volunteers, and partners as we work collaboratively to achieve our association’s goals.

  • Accountability: All members, employees, volunteers, and partners have a shared responsibility to align their efforts toward the achievement of our association’s strategic initiatives.

Our officers are a team of dedicated moms and guardians, committed to making CMS the best it can be for their children and yours.

PBIS | Every Thursday from 10am-1pm - Room 501

 

Our team conducts an on-going support service of our children, teachers, staff and students every Thursday during lunch hours. 

 

Our goal is to support the 2018-2019 School Improvement Plan.

Box Tops For Education  - ALL 2018-2019 School Year!

 

Clip Box Tops from participating products, place them in a zip lock bag and turn them in to your child's homeroom teacher.  PTSA Box Tops Committee Chair person, Mrs. Bessie Hampton, will collect them twice a month. CMS PTSA needs parents to update our website and social media pages.  Our goal in having a social media presence is to share with the community the great things happening in The GREAT Columbia Middle School.  We focus on posting information that:

 

C- celebrates our scholars, teachers and/or staff,

M - motivates our parents and community members to get involved in CMS, and

S - supports our scholars, teachers and/or staff.
